Our approach in detail

We’ll guide you through the transition to the cloud in six stages over a period of six months. Following the Cloud Migration Check, we’ll take charge of the migration, optimising each step iteratively. During the migration, you can start using the first environments straight away and transition seamlessly to a managed system.

1. Assessment

We assess your use cases for feasibility in the cloud and thereby identify the critical issues involved in cloud migration. Together, we also identify use cases that are no longer in use and define the scope of the migration.

2. Planning

We define which steps are essential for implementation.
To this end, we draw up a roadmap for the move to the cloud and set out the timetable for the migration phases.

3. Preparation

In this step, we prepare your data and systems for migration. This includes, amongst other things, a thorough clean-up of the source instances.
Some functions in Atlassian Cloud work differently to those in the environments you are used to. We therefore implement change and adoption measures right from the start of the migration process. Our measures are designed to get your users excited about Atlassian Cloud. After all, the migration project will only be a complete success if your staff enjoy working with the tools.

4. Test migrations

Our clients’ systems vary greatly. That is why we carry out individual tests before every migration to determine how long the migration will take and what specific considerations we need to bear in mind. In this way, we minimise the downtime of your applications and the risks involved during the migration.

During this phase of the project, many clients decide to put the cloud instanceintoproduction for new use cases. This is a good way to help users get used to the new environment.
