Cloud

First-time purchase

There are four different subscription plans available for Confluence Cloud: Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise. Cloud licences can be purchased on a monthly or annual subscription basis. Monthly billing is available for the Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans. Annual billing, on the other hand, is only available for the Standard, Premium and Enterprise plans.

Billing information

  • The monthly pricing model is progressive, meaning that Atlassian offers discounts when you add more users
  • The annual pricing model has fixed user tiers. With the Standard and Premium plans, you save money with annual billing; however, users cannot be added flexibly.

Renewal

The minimum service term for a Confluence Cloud subscription is one month. You can either renew on a monthly basis or purchase the licence on an annual basis.

Upgrade

Monthly billing

As a site administrator, if you’re on a monthly billing plan, you can adjust the number of users each month via the ‘Manage Subscriptions’ page on your Cloud site. You can also change your subscription plan at any time via the ‘Manage Subscriptions’ page, for example, to upgrade from the Standard subscription to Premium.

Annual billing

With an annual plan, fixed user tiers apply. If you’d like to change your user tier, please feel free to contact us!

Requirements for an academic licence

Academic licence for Jira Atlassian

Atlassian also offers academic licences for Confluence. To benefit from the lower prices for the academic Confluence licence, you must meet certain requirements. We would be happy to check for you whether you are eligible for an academic licence.

Yes. For a limited time, existing Data Centre customers who migrate to a cloud subscription with at least 1,001 users are eligible for a multi-year loyalty discount. This offer applies to the Standard and Premium cloud subscriptions for Jira, Jira Service Desk, Jira Core and Confluence.

Please note: To be eligible for this offer, you must have purchased your Data Centre licence or subscription before 3 October 2019, and your Data Centre licence must be migrated using a free trial for cloud migration.
