Communardo strengthens Norwegian presence

Communardo Group GmbH has acquired Computas Opus

Dresden / Oslo, 18. June 2026

Communardo Group GmbH has acquired Computas Opus ("Opus"), one of Norway's leading Atlassian service providers. Opus brings a well-established team with nearly two decades of Atlassian expertise, long-standing client relationships, and an excellent reputation in the Norwegian market – strengthening Communardo Nordics' existing presence in the region. Following a transition period, Opus will be integrated into Communardo Nordics.

More strength for clients, same local proximity

Opus is an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner headquartered in Oslo with nearly two decades of experience advising enterprises and public sector institutions on Atlassian solutions. The company serves more than 115 customers across Norway's private and public sectors, with core expertise in Cloud Migration and IT Service Management.

For clients in Northern Europe, the acquisition opens up new possibilities: access to the full breadth of Communardo Group's capabilities, from cloud migrations and platform projects to managed services and complex transformation engagements. At the same time, the local proximity and personal service that Opus has been known for will remain.

"With Opus, we are bringing together complementary strengths: deep local expertise, a strong client base, and a shared passion for helping customers succeed with Atlassian. For us, this is about more than growth. It is about building an even stronger Nordic team and creating new opportunities for our clients," says Mathias Carling, CEO Communardo Nordics.

Together, the leading Atlassian team in Norway

Norway is a market where Atlassian solutions are widely used, particularly in the enterprise and public sectors. Rather than developing this market exclusively through organic growth, the Communardo Group has deliberately chosen a partner that is already firmly established there. The combination with Opus now creates a clear market leader in the Norwegian Atlassian ecosystem – a team whose combined scale, expertise, and customer focus far exceed what either company could achieve on its own.

The combined Norwegian team will be led by Rune Hagbartsen, CEO of Opus, who will take on responsibility for all of Communardo's Norwegian operations. "Joining Communardo is a great step for our team and our clients. We keep the local presence and personal service our customers value, while gaining the strength of a leading European Atlassian partner behind us. Together, we can take on engagements of a scale and complexity that neither of us could deliver alone," says Rune Hagbartsen. With the Opus team of 17 professionals joining, the Group continues to grow and reaffirms its commitment to delivering Atlassian consulting and implementation services at the highest level for clients across Europe.

The next step in the Nordic strategy

The acquisition of Opus marks the fourth step in Communardo's Nordic expansion and is part of a long-term strategy to grow not only broader but also deeper as a leading Atlassian partner in Europe — in line with Atlassian's regional partner strategy and strengthening the Communardo Group's position as a Platinum Partner in the region.  The journey began in May 2025 with Stretch Addera, establishing a presence in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. In January 2026, the acquisition of Ambientia's Atlassian business added Finland, followed by Aety in May 2026, building a full Danish delivery organization. With Opus, Communardo now holds leading positions across all four Nordic markets – with well over 100 Atlassian specialists in the region and nearly 500 employees across the Group.

"In just over a year, we have built the leading Atlassian organization in the Nordics – not by entering markets from the outside, but by joining forces with the strongest local teams in each country. Opus completes this picture. Our clients across Europe now work with a partner that combines true local roots with the capabilities of a pan-European group," says Anje Hickey, CEO of Communardo Group.
