Atlassian has recently announced that it is phasing out all server licenses (see the blog post: Atlassian’s End of Support for Server) in order to be able to fully focus on the Cloud and Data Center. We would like to take this announcement as an opportunity to inform you about further plans with our app.
No Data Center or Cloud version planned for the Legacy Connector
We will not provide Data Center or Cloud compatibility for the app Legacy SharePoint Connector for Confluence you might currently be using. This means that there will be no acute change in your server licenses for the next two years, but license renewals will no longer be possible as of February 2, 2023.
But if you are planning to switch from Confluence Server to Data Center, this would be the right time to switch to our Data Center App SharePoint Connector for Confluence as well. Especially since this app not only offers an extended range of functions but is also cheaper.
If you are planning a direct migration to Confluence Cloud, we have already successfully established our SharePoint Connector for Confluence Cloud there as well and would be happy to advise you on its use.
