Since the foundation of Communardo in 2001, the creation of products has always been a part of the company’s project business. Ever since, the app development department has been constantly growing, leading to the creation of the Communardo Products GmbH in the year 2017. Over all this time, the CEO position of our “mother company” has been filled with Dirk Röhrborn and Ilja Hauß as Co-CEOs.
Ilja Hauß will retire from the operational management of Communardo Software GmbH on July 31, 2021, after two decades of successful work. In the future, the company will be represented by Dirk Röhrborn as CEO together with the three authorized signatories Claudia Lutter, René Krasselt and Tino Schmidt. Ilja Hauß will remain as a shareholder.
Communardo continues growth with record sales
Communardo’s long-term growth strategy will continue unchanged. Fiscal year 2021 closed on March 31 with 34.9 million in revenue. With revenue growth of 26.7%, it was the most successful fiscal year in the company’s history. “I would like to thank all employees for their great commitment – especially in times of pandemic – in the past fiscal year and our customers and partners for their trust in Communardo. A new era is now beginning at Communardo. As co-founder and managing director from the very beginning, Ilja Hauß played a key role in building up the company and has made a significant contribution to the sustainable development of our company over the past 20 years. I would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his tireless commitment to Communardo,” says Dirk Röhrborn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO.
New Head of Sales
As of May 1, Tino Schmidt has taken over as Head of Sales at Communardo. Schmidt, who holds a degree in computer science, has been part of the Communardo family since 2004 and has been involved in the topics of intranets, Enterprise 2.0, social business and digital workplace for years. Since 2015, he has been responsible for the Digital Workplace division at Communardo with five business lines. Tino Schmidt brings with him many years of management experience in software development, digital workplace consulting and sales. Ilja Hauß is also convinced of this, as he introduces Tino Schmidt to his tasks and thus sets the course for a seamless handover. In his view, the new sales manager has all the prerequisites to be a reliable contact for our Communardo customers and for the sales team and to continue the positive and dynamic development in sales.
Reorganization of the business units
Dr. Christian Kummer will take over from Tino Schmidt as head of the Digital Workplace business unit in May. Dr. Christian Kummer earned his doctorate at the Technical University of Dresden and has worked as a consultant and project manager at Communardo Software GmbH in Dresden since 2014. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the Cloud & Infrastructure business line at Communardo, which deals with the introduction of Microsoft 365 in the company.
Dr. Peter Geißler will take over the management of the new business line Communardo Consulting as of May. The focus of this business line is the further expansion of the consulting business around strategy, implementation and support for the networked digital workplace. The focus is on adoption & change management strategy consulting, optimizing internal and cross-organizational collaboration and communication as part of the employee experience in companies.
