As you know our Communardo App Metadata for Confluence enables you to master your metadata to ensure consistency, improve usability, and tap into powerful new capabilities.
We introduce you to the latest Metadata for Confluence Cloud field type: “Page link”. With this new release, admins can guide users to select and link various Confluence pages that can be selected as values in the link field.
Where can I use it?
Here’s a look at some examples of the kind of pages that can be linked:
- Use Case #1 Related Projects
Let’s assume you have created a Content Category named Project. You can now add a Metadata field as a Page link and name it Related Projects. Finally, you can link one or more Confluence pages (Related Projects) related to your main Project by adding them as Metadata values in the Page link field type.
- Use Case #2 Documentation and catalogue
This use-case shows you how to easily set up IT-Documentation in Confluence with the Metadata for Confluence app. In this use-case you can create IT documentation Content Categories (Server, Application). With the help of the new field type addition – Page link you can link server pages with its applications and vice versa. What comes with IT documentation is an IT service catalogue, aka a list of technology resources available from the service provider within your organization.
Page link field type – How does it work?
This is how the admin can create the Page link field.
