What’s new with Metadata for Confluence Cloud 1.3?
You requested it and we implemented it! We introduce you to the latest Metadata for Confluence Cloud macro: “Display Macro”.
Administrators can now embed the metadata macro “Display Macro” to their Confluence Cloud page and choose to:
- Display all the metadata of the page
- Select and display only the metadata you need on the page
Display Macro
Initially, you have to set the metadata fields of your content category and after that you have to follow the steps below.
Step 1: Click on the plus sign to access the macro browser, and write “Display Metadata”
Step 2: Select the metadata fields you’d like to display. You can click on the small “x” sign to remove a metadata field
Step 3: See your Display metadata Macro in action
How to use it?
Check out these use case examples. You can insert “Display Macro” as:

The header of Process documentation (role, document type, version, normative reference etc.)
#Use Case 2
The header of release documentation (software version, responsible person, user documentation, new features, etc.)
#Use Case 3
The header of Product/Project documentation (product manager, software architect, version, user documentation etc.)
