It’s not been too long since we finished the work on the last release (see also: SharePoint Online Connector on the next level) of our new but already popular app SharePoint Online Connector for Confluence. While the previous release focused on bringing a state of the art integration with Confluence to SharePoint On-Premisses 2016 we’ve been working hard to provide an even more robust integration with the latest version. Read on to see what’s in this release for you.
Many of our customers have asked us why documents from the SharePoint My Site cannot be embedded in Confluence. While the answer is a little tricky (at least from a technical perspective) it is now possible to integrate content from other Web applications (and the My Site is just one of those). Why don’t you go ahead and try this on your own?
We also improved the integration of the Office Web Apps – wherever a Web App is available on your SharePoint Instance it will load the corresponding document. No matter if you are using the SharePoint Document macro or the SharePoint List macro.
Other than that we fixed a handful of bugs and added some minor improvements. The full list is available in our Jira as usual.
