Atlassian’s End of Support for Server

And what that means for you as Communardo customer

For many years, Atlassian has consistently followed the trend towards the cloud. Thus, new features and improvements first come to the cloud. Now Atlassian announces the next logical step: the consolidation of the license offering and the concentration on the two platforms Atlassian Cloud and Data Center.

Atlassian announced the following changes for server products on October 16, 2020:

From 02 February 2021, Pacific Time (PT): End of Sale
Customers will no longer be able to purchase new server products after February 02, 2021. You can still buy and renew server apps though. At the same time, Atlassian will update the prices for server upgrades and renewal licenses.

From 02 February 2023, Pacific Time (PT): End of Sale for Marketplace Apps
Starting that day it will not be possible anymore to buy new server licenses or renew existing ones. Active licenses will continue to work.

From 02 February 2024, Pacific Time (PT): End of Support
From February 02, 2024, the next step will be to discontinue support and troubleshooting for all server products.

What does this mean for you as a Communardo app customer?
For us as Gold Atlassian Marketplace Partner and Platinum Solution Partner, this development comes as no surprise. For many years now, we have been consistently pursuing the path to the cloud or, for corporate customers, have been developing Data Center versions for our main products. All server customers can continue to work with their licenses for another 3 years without restrictions. Up until that and of course, from that point onward, we would love to provide our apps matching the deployment option you choose. Please refer to the following overview to see what already is the status quo of availability for our Apps and what we’ve planned:

For Apps that are not listed above we’re currently assessing the situation. Please reach out individually if you’re having a question to a specific app.

If you have any concerns or questions, our ears are open for you. To check our other apps please have a look at the Atlassian Marketplace.

Hey there,
how come “Accessibility for Confluence” isn’t listed as “being compatible to Data Center” in the Marketplace (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213437/accessibility-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=versions) ?
Whereas your table on this site shows that it shoud be fine….
Could you please explain the discrepancy and confirm that it’s compatible to Confluence Data Center?
Thanks

Hi There,
thanks for reaching out! The discrepancy pointed out is correct. We are currently working on getting the app approved for Confluence Data Center but this whole process took us a bit longer than expected. So basically it will be approved in the not-so-distant future. For the time being the app itself is confirmed to run in DC environments even with formally being approved.
Let us know if you need any more information on this matter!
Cheers, David
