In times of the digital workplace transformation it becomes ever more important to establish an inclusive culture of equal opportunities. Using Confluence is a great way to foster collaboration and team work, but it is not yet a perfect tool to include employees with different needs. For several years our Accessibility for Confluence app has been a great support for people with disabilities, helping them in their work with colleagues and other users.
Our 3.0 release introduces a variety of new features in the new screen reader mode alongside an optimized high contrast mode and improved keyboard operation to make work with Confluence easier and more productive.
Highlights of the modernized screen reader mode include support for
- Inline Comments
- Creating spaces with templates
- Sharing pages
- Managing space and page watches
- Access to the people directory
This brings the screen reader mode of the Accessibility for Confluence app up to date to today’s Confluence collaboration functionality.
